Who we are and what this policy covers
Guangdong Songtian Electronic Industrial Co., Ltd. (Songtian, STE, we) operates this website from Songtian Science and Technology Park, Shantou Bonded Zone, Guangdong, China. This policy covers songtian-ste.com and the inquiry, AI Assistant and cross reference services offered through it.
Contact inquiry@songtian.cn with privacy questions or rights requests. You can browse product information without providing your name or contact details. Inquiry, chat and voice features are optional.
Information we handle
Website and network logs may record your IP address, request time, page and URL query parameters, referring page, browser or device type, response status and security events. These support content delivery, traffic measurement, troubleshooting and abuse prevention. Do not put contact details, passwords or sensitive information in a URL.
For an inquiry, we handle the name, work email, company, country or region, optional phone number, requirements, part numbers, quantities, target prices and notes you submit, together with the source page, language and a random browser reference. Provide only what we need to handle your request.
For chat and cross reference, we handle your questions, part numbers, maker hints, specifications and relevant conversation, generated answers, titles and summaries, random session references, timestamps, language and feature activity. Text or files you choose to provide may contain personal information. Do not submit identity documents, passwords, customer lists or confidential material you are not entitled to share.
How we use information and your choices
We use this information to answer questions, identify products, compare specifications, handle inquiries and explicit contact requests, restore chat history, review answer quality, measure service use and protect the service. Authorized internal staff may review inquiries, lookups and conversations to handle requests or improve answers.
We process information to provide the service you request, on your authorization or consent, and for operational and security purposes allowed by applicable law. We seek separate consent where required. An inquiry or chat does not subscribe you to marketing emails. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-site advertising.
AI, manufacturer research and voice
The AI Assistant uses DeepSeek models. Your messages, relevant conversation context and necessary product material are sent to that service to generate an answer. AI answers can be wrong and do not establish product specifications or approve a direct substitute.
When local material cannot identify a part, the service may send the part number, manufacturer name and product-research terms to DeepSeek search to find public manufacturer material. This search step does not send the full conversation or your contact form. Visiting a manufacturer or another external link makes a request to that website under its own policies.
Voice input starts only when you choose it and allow microphone access. The browser records your question and sends it to Volcengine for transcription. We do not retain the recording on our servers. The transcript returns to the input field and becomes chat content only when you send it. You can revoke microphone permission in your browser. Providers have their own rules for data they receive; see their policies.
Cookies and browser storage
The site uses Google Analytics to measure page views, search and comparison categories, chat opens and responses, successful inquiries, downloads and video playback. Our custom events send static page addresses, titles, language, referring sites, activity categories and result counts. They do not include chat text, inquiry fields, search terms, URL query parameters or chat session references. Google tags may also receive network information such as IP addresses and browser details, and set first-party analytics cookies such as _ga and _ga_<id> to distinguish browsers and sessions. Our page configuration disables Google signals and advertising personalization signals.
The site uses sessionStorage within a browser tab for a random browser reference and chat state. When you send a message or resume an existing conversation, first-party cookies named ste_chat_client and ste_chat_conversation can keep random references for 30 days so you can continue across pages and visits. The cookies do not contain the conversation text. Browsing product pages alone does not create these chat continuity cookies.
You can restrict cookies, clear site data or close the tab using browser controls, or use Google’s Analytics opt-out tool in supported browsers. This may prevent that browser from restoring a conversation; it does not delete server records or internal emails already sent. Use chat history to delete a conversation, or contact us. We do not use these references for cross-site advertising.
Providers and internal access
AWS provides hosting, content delivery, storage and operations. DeepSeek provides AI and manufacturer research, Volcengine provides optional voice transcription, Google Analytics measures website use, and Google Gmail delivers internal notifications. Each may handle information needed for that task. Internal access is limited by role. We do not give your contact details to other manufacturers for marketing.
We may disclose necessary information within your request or authorization, for security, to meet legal duties, or in response to a lawful request from a competent authority. Independently operated third-party services apply their own privacy rules.
Gmail authorization and Google data
Only an authorized internal STE sending account enables Gmail notifications. Website visitors are not asked to authorize their own Google accounts. The feature requests permission to send Gmail and basic identity permission to confirm the sending email address. It does not request access to an inbox, contacts or Google Drive files.
Messages go to a configured internal recipient list and contain inquiries, explicit contact requests, and summaries of cross reference and chat activity for internal handling. Authorization credentials are encrypted in restricted cloud configuration; the account owner may keep a restricted local recovery copy. Credentials are excluded from public pages, source code, logs and notification messages.
Google API account identity and authorization data are used only to confirm the sender and provide notifications, not for advertising, resale or AI model training. Our use and transfer of Google API information adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. The account owner can revoke access through Google Account third-party connections and contact us to remove authorization copies. Revocation stops further sending but does not delete delivered messages.
Where processing takes place
The main website cloud infrastructure is in the United States, with content delivery nodes in other locations. DeepSeek and Volcengine services process requests in China. Google may process mail across its global infrastructure. Interactive services can therefore involve processing outside your country or region.
We handle transfers and the associated notices, authorizations and safeguards as required by applicable law. If you do not wish to submit questions or contact details to these services, you can browse product material or use our published contact details. Email communication still involves email service providers.
Retention and deletion
Server-side chat text, generated titles and summaries have a 90-day retention period and can be deleted earlier in chat history. Lookup and operational records normally have a 90-day expiry and enter a cleanup process after expiry. Browser continuity references last 30 days. These periods run separately.
Inquiries, contact requests already passed on and internal handling emails are retained as needed for communication, fulfillment, disputes and legal duties. Deleting a chat does not delete these separate records. Access, operational and security logs are retained as needed for measurement, troubleshooting and security review. Analytics references and events follow Google’s analytics configuration and browser settings; aggregate statistics may be retained longer. Contact us about the current settings or a deletion request at inquiry@songtian.cn. Where retention is legally required, we restrict use and address the data when that requirement ends.
Keeping information secure
We use HTTPS, restricted access, authorization controls and cloud security settings to protect information, credentials and business records. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Do not share chat references or a browser that can access your history with unrelated people. Contact us promptly about information sent in error or a suspected security issue.
Your rights and how to contact us
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to understand, access, correct, copy or delete personal information, withdraw relevant consent, or restrict or object to particular processing. You can delete conversations in chat history, clear browser data, or send a request to inquiry@songtian.cn with the relevant page, approximate time and what you want us to do.
We verify identity in a way proportionate to the request and respond under applicable law. Do not send identity documents or passwords in ordinary email. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. Some interactive features may become unavailable if necessary information can no longer be processed.
Children, external services and updates
This website serves electronics procurement and engineering users and is not directed to children under 14. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate authorization so we can investigate and address it.
This policy does not replace the policies of external websites or providers. We update this page and give appropriate notice of material changes to purposes, data categories or recipients. Where renewed consent is required, we seek it before the changed processing.
