STE NTC thermistors receive VDE certification

STE’s NTC thermistors have received VDE certification.

The certification is based on EN 60539-1.

STE’s NTC thermistors received VDE certification based on EN 60539-1. NTC denotes a negative temperature coefficient: resistance decreases as temperature rises.

Confirm approval and application requirements

Power NTC thermistors limit startup inrush current, while sensing NTCs measure temperature. Application, resistance, maximum steady-state current and temperature conditions must be checked in the relevant part’s specification.

VDE approval applies to the products defined in its certificate. Review the current NTC range to confirm the selected model’s approval and electrical characteristics.
