ACE 2026 Preview: Capacitors for Smaller and Higher-Power Supplies
Original report
STE edition
An ACE 2026 preview places STE and other capacitor exhibitors in the context of compact chargers and higher-power applications.
Chongdiantou's September 10, 2026 preview introduces capacitor exhibitors scheduled to participate in the Autumn Asia Charging Expo in Shenzhen on September 11. STE is included among companies covering safety capacitors and related protection components, alongside suppliers of aluminum electrolytic, polymer, film and ceramic capacitors.
The exhibitors named in the report are Aihua, JK-ET, Wansheng, Milang, Guorongtong, Chuanghui, STE, BERYL, Haotian, Junkang, Koshin, Sancon, Wanjingyuan, JingQin, KYET, Yunxing, Hongan, Chengxi, TRX, Yongli and Chuangrong New Energy. The article presents this as an exhibition preview, not a ranking or a common product qualification.
Miniaturization changes component requirements
Capacitors perform energy-storage, filtering, voltage-smoothing and interference-suppression functions across power converters. As GaN fast chargers and high-power adapters become smaller, the space available for passive components also decreases.
The source identifies smaller dimensions, high-frequency performance, low impedance and temperature capability as recurring development priorities. It discusses a related need to balance voltage rating, ESR, ripple-current capability and lifetime rather than treating physical size as the only design target.
Several examples illustrate the market response. Wanjingyuan is described as offering liquid-electrolyte and solid-polymer capacitors for 20–200 W PD power supplies. Sancon has products intended for GaN supplies, while Junkang and Koshin offer high- and low-voltage aluminum electrolytic or polymer products for compact fast-charging designs.
High- and low-voltage positions require different choices
The report distinguishes locations within an AC–DC power supply. Rectified-input and high-voltage stages often require energy storage and filtering, making voltage capability, ripple loading and lifetime central considerations. Low-voltage output stages place particular emphasis on ESR, ripple current and transient behavior.
Aihua, Milang, Chuanghui, BERYL, Koshin and Sancon are identified as providing aluminum electrolytic or polymer options for consumer chargers, high-power adapters and other power applications. The source notes the use of polymer capacitors in high-frequency, high-current output stages because of their low-impedance characteristics.
Safety, film and ceramic capacitors
The article also covers safety, film and ceramic components. X and Y safety capacitors support interference suppression in circuit positions governed by safety requirements. Their classification and approval must match the intended connection; their presence alone does not establish the safety of the complete power supply.
JK-ET, STE, Haotian and JingQin are named in connection with safety capacitors and related protection devices. Wansheng is described as focusing on film capacitors, while Guorongtong covers multilayer ceramic capacitors and supply-chain services.
As switching frequency rises and internal layouts become denser, these component types need to be selected together against the circuit's operating conditions. The source frames that coordination around efficiency, EMI behavior, safety and reliability.
Beyond phone charging
The applications discussed extend from phone chargers and power banks to automotive electronics, photovoltaic and energy-storage equipment, robotics, data centers and industrial power supplies. The source identifies Aihua, BERYL and STE among exhibitors addressing multiple new-energy and industrial applications.
Voltage, temperature, service-life and ripple requirements differ across those uses. The report concludes that smaller packages, high-frequency low-impedance behavior, ripple capability and reliability are continuing priorities for capacitor suppliers.
This article preserves the preview's original timing. Its invitation to meet exhibitors at ACE 2026 referred to the September 11 event; it is not a current event registration notice.
